I don't think I have ever seen a frog in London. All I've ever seen are rats of all sizes, in the house or in the undergound tube stations, scurrying here n there. This morning I saw a crushed frog on the road on my way to work. Felt sorry for the poor soul. It reminded me of the Barsaat (monsoon) season in Pakistan when it is the mating time, but all you mostly see are crushed frogs on the roads.

Remote control bed
I bought a remote control bed for my dad. He is so happy. I am extremely happy that he is happy! Praying for his long and healthy life. Ameen.
Moon
Just looked outside, the moon looks beautiful. Reminding of the lovely Eids in Pakistan. I wish I could take a picture.

A personal tribute to Amy Whinehouse
I hope it is not too late to express my feelings for Amy Whinehouse, the legend who passed away on 23rd July 2011. I will always remember her and her songs as she passed away just one day before my wedding, the most memorable day of my life. It is then when I realized that never once in the three years of my stay in the UK, had I ever seen a single video of Amy Whinehouse on any music channel, never had I ever heard her songs in any of the high street shops or any where at all for that matter. Sadly she was targetted by the media only for being troubled and never for her extremely valuable talent. When she died, TV channels repeatedly played her songs, her interviews, etc. apparently to pay tribute to the legend but in reality, it was just to earn money or ratings from her sad demise. Only her friends and family can probably understand what an asset Amy originally was.
I am in love with two of her songs: 'Love is a losing game' and 'Back to Black'. RIP Amy.
